“Stroom” will be performed by Symfonieorkest Nijmegen.
For their 50th anniversary Symfonieorkest Nijmegen commissioned an ouverture celebrating the city of Nijmegen. I chose to write an ode to the Waal river – the vast river that has played a vital role in the city’s long history, dating as far back as roman times. The piece premièred in 2021.

The third installment in the Zij die Achterbleven triology, premiered as part of my Master’s exam in composition on a Dutch libretto by Elea Bekkers.
Performed by Elea Bekkers (mezzo-soprano) and a chamber orchestra formed of musicians of Codarts Rotterdam. The concert is freely accessible at a first-come first-serve basis.
Violin maker Maarten Bolten commissioned a piece to celebrate the anniversary of his violin making workshop.

Commissioned by the Radboud University of Nijmegen (The Netherlands), Facultas celebrates academic life in a short and energetic movement, played by Seán Morgan-Rooney.
The concert will be livestreamed, although students and faculty of the Radboud universiteit are welcome to join in Concertgebouw de Vereeniging.

To launch my new album into the world the music from Lifelines will be played live in concert on the 6th of June in Utrecht.
“Lifelines” is about different lives intersecting, running in parallel, ending, starting, getting entangled and untying. The album was recorded at the legendary Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum with amongst others a string orchestra and a pianist. The album was successfully crowdfunded by over 90 contributors! This concert will launch the album into the world.

Comissioned by the ICOS conference, “Temperature Music” for chamber orchestra translates the climate crisis into music.
As part of the the ICOS environmental congress in Utrecht, The Netherlands, Temperature Music will be premiered written specifically for the conference. The piece, written for chamber orchestra, is accompanied by visual data of carbon emissions and temperature deviations over the years. In the finale the music is directly influenced by the actual situation of the climate crisis at the time of performance, making every performance of the piece unique.
As of now the event is not accessible for people not attending the conference. However, there’s a limited amount for invitees. If you would like to attend the performance please send a message through my contact page. The performance take place in the evening.
